Firms to See Added Flexibility Under FINRA Rule Changes on Self-Trades

SEC Issues Proposals to Shed Light on Pools; Expects to Issue Broad Concept Release Soon

The Securities and Exchange Commission Oct. 21 voted unanimously to propose rule changes to bring transparency to and enhance regulation over so-called “dark pools of liquidity”--alternative trading systems that do not display quotes to the public. Publication date October 26, 2009
